The Princess Trio

I am surrounded by princesses. Even the dog and cat consider themselves royalty. What is a girl to to, but put on a tiara and GO GO GO!! Therefore, I must be "The Queen".... um, right?

Lily's first hair cut!

Lily had her first haircut right after her 1st birthday. As you can see, she did not enjoy her first visit to the beauty salon.

The Lily Gallery

Here she is! My big 1 year old!! She is wearing her bedazzled "1"sie and tutu... both made by mom! (why, yes.... I did purchase a bedazzler, and I am darned excited about it too!)

Lily actually hated this flower. This was actually snapped just miliseconds before she snatched it from me, and threw it as far away from her as she could!

Aren't you DONE yet?????

No, seriously... hand over the damn camera.

"I AM DONE!!! NO MORE PICTURES!!! DONE DONE DONE!!!!!!!!!"

This was Lilys first sucker ever! As you can see, she loved loved loved it!

This is the sucker boquet I made for the party favors. They are made with dum dums and pixie sticks! Sugar sugar sugar!! I gave them to the kids on their way OUT the door ;)

Time keeps tickin'....

So, there already seems to be a theme to my blog. Time is passing so quickly!

Lily turned 1 last week! My baby is almost a toddler. How can this be? It must be a mistake. After all, I am still carrying the baby weight (OK, so it is probably more "eat whatever the hell I want" weight.... but whatever).

I guess the fact that Lily is still not crawling yet that makes her seem younger (this is an observation, it is in no way a complaint) She is ALmost there... but not quite.

Here are some pictures from the big day!

Where has the time gone?

It seems a fitting place to begin my blog. Every time I blink, my girls are growing up more and more! I decided I need to have a way to chronicle these milestones.

I sent Maddie off to summer camp yesterday. As I hugged her, and gave her the last minute reminders... "wear your sunscreen, brush your teeth, get some sleep..." she rolled her eyes, and said "Mooooooom" In that oh-so-grown-up way she has developed, peeled herself out of my arms, and skipped off happily.

I am vacillating between sheer joy that she is getting to have this experience, and extreme sadness that she actually wanted to leave me! yes, it is only 2 nights. But it is a pivotal moment. She is officially a big kid.
